Group Risk is happy to announce that we are accepting applications in 2018 for a newly developed Graduate Talent Programme running from September 2019, for 24 months. The Graduate Talent Programme will consist of two separate job streams and is designed to ensure all graduates gain exposure and insight to different departments within the business, encouraging them to develop and enhance multiple skills.

Each job stream will consists of three 8 month rotations structured towards enabling graduates to gain insight and exposure to different teams and roles.

Rotations are supported by a 3-tier support network consisting of a Line Manager, Mentor and fellow graduates. Additionally, a best in class learning and career development platform is available and educational training/assistance provided.

Please note: We do not need assistance from Recruitment Agencies at this time.

Data Analytics and Modelling Graduate

  • Strategic model development, both commercial and regulatory
  • In-depth model validation to comply with latest regulation
  • System testing, user acceptance testing and implementation of new systems within the bank
  • Daily use of SAS, MS SQL and any other relevant coding languages to perform data preparation and analysis
  • Data analysis and report generation for the purpose of MI (Management Information)

Group Risk Banking Graduate

  • Risk & Controls identification and management
  • Improving efficiency, accuracy and maintainability of information (e.g. using Excel / advanced Excel)
  • Management of on-site regulatory engagements, guidelines and best practices
  • Preparation of high quality submissions/reports as requested by Regulators, Internal Audit and the Group Senior Management the purpose of MI (Management Information)

Role Profile Stream 1: Data Analytics and Modelling Graduate

What is the Role Profile Stream 1 about?

The Group Risk Data Analytics and Modelling Graduate stream is directed towards a specialisation in Risk Management in Banking and involves understanding of related legislation, regulation guidelines and best practice, combined with technical implementation of these by way of Data Analytics and/or Modelling in Banking. 

Who is it for?

To be considered for Stream 1, candidates must be on track to achieve a 2:1 honours Bachelor’s Degree (NFQ Level 8 or above), or equivalent, in the following disciplines:

  • Mathematics
  • Applied Mathematics,
  • MSISS (Management Science & Information Systems Studies)
  • Actuarial & Financial
  • Business Studies
  • Other related disciplines
How long does it last?

Stream 1 runs for 24 months and consists of three 8 month rotations, structured towards enabling graduates to gain insight and exposure to different teams and roles related to Stream 1.

Role Profile Stream 2: Group Risk Banking Graduate

What is the Role Profile Stream 2 about?

The Group Risk Banking Graduate stream is directed towards a specialisation in Banking, Enterprise Risk Management and Credit Management. As such, it involves exposure to some or all of the following: Banking legislation, regulation guidelines and best practice, risk & controls identification and management, business process optimisation and accounting / fund management.

Key activities performed as a part of this role profile include, but are not limited to:

  • Risk & Controls identification and management
  • Improving efficiency, accuracy and maintainability of information (e.g. using Excel / advanced Excel)
  • Management of on-site regulatory engagements, guidelines and best practices
  • Preparation of high quality submissions/reports as requested by Regulators, Internal Audit and the Group Senior Management.
