A new smishing (text) scam is in circulation stating that your TSB card has been frozen due to unusual activity. The message reads:
"Your TSB Card has been locked due to unusual activity at 09.18. Proceed to https://tsbfraud.com to review the charge on your card"
Permanent tsb will never provide website links (URLs) when communicating with our customers. It is also advised that customers keep a record of all permanent tsb websites and links in order to avoid falling victim of phishing sites. Our main websites are as follows (with fake link comparisons):
Real link: www.permanenttsb.ie - Fake link: www.ptsb-bank.com
Real link: www.Open24.ie - Fake link: www.Open24-banking.com
Real link: www.Business24.ie - Fake link: www.PermanenttsbBusiness24.com
Real link: www.Broker24.ie - Fake link: www.ptsb-Broker24.com
Permanent tsb will never attach bare URLS to text messages(such as www.example.com). Instead, we will always hyperlink the text. Please also note that the URL in the above message reads ".com". All of permanent tsb websites use ".ie".
