Paul O’Donovan is one of Ireland’s most successful sporting figures and has been among the World’s leading rowers for almost a decade.
Alongside his brother Gary, he won a silver medal in the Lightweight Double Sculls at the Rio Olympics. At the Tokyo Olympics Paul went one better, winning a gold medal with Fintan McCarthy. O’Donovan has six world championship gold medals to his name; as well as five gold or silver European Championship medals.
Paul O’Donovan has a physiotherapy degree from UCD and qualified with first class honours from Medicine at UCC in 2023.
